Academy Performance & Outcomes
South Shore Academy is a school on a rapid upward trajectory. Driven by high expectations, an ambitious curriculum, and strong leadership experience across the Cidari Multi Academy Trust, our academic outcomes have improved dramatically across every headline measure over the past two years.
Our progress has been formally recognised across Blackpool, with South Shore Academy highlighted as the most improved secondary school in the authority across multiple key performance measures.
Academic Progress: A Two-Year Trajectory of Rapid Improvement
Our focus on calm, purposeful classrooms, explicit teaching, and pupil effort is delivering clear, measurable results for our young people:
-
English & Maths (Grade 4+): Risen from 20% to 45%.
-
English & Maths (Grade 5+): Risen from 9% to 25%.
-
Attainment 8 Score: Increased from 22.8 to 34.2.
"South Shore Academy has been described as the most improved school in Blackpool across multiple measures." — Blackpool Council
Built on High Standards & Proven Systems
These results reflect a fundamental change in the daily pupil experience at South Shore Academy. Working alongside senior leaders with proven track records within the Cidari Trust, we have embedded consistent routines, explicit instruction, and a culture that celebrates hard work and academic achievement.
While our rising exam outcomes are a source of great pride, they represent just one part of our story. We remain relentlessly focused on continuing this trajectory—ensuring every student leaves South Shore with the qualifications, character, and ambition needed to succeed in further education, apprenticeships, and their future careers.
